non-profit organization
"Nurturing change and growth."
"Helping individuals and families to succeed and live well."
We are a 100% volunteer, not-for-profit organization founded in 2008 to serve the mental health needs of the Coachella Valley community and those in the outlying desert areas. Our specific purpose is to provide mental and behavioral health services focusing on individual, children, adolescents, couples, seniors, and families. We identified a need for counseling and therapy services that are affordable (based on a sliding scale) to anyone seeking such services.
Our aim is to empower individuals and families to build and maintain healthy lives that enable them to cultivate better relationships and pursue meaningful work/education and leisure activities. Additionally, we aim to strengthen the community and its individuals, contributing to better well-being and healthy lifestyles now and throughout their lives. ADWC does this by providing evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, clinical intervention, and feedback by means of the Center's team which includes the individual client and his/her family when appropriate. We are in the infancy of our organizational development, but our plan is to eventually have programs which work in concert with adjunct services, facilitated by licensed and certified professionals in their respective fields.
